The Rescue of 'Butcher' the Terrier

Terrier Rescue -  9th May 1948

This photo was taken following the rescue of 'Butcher', a Terrier that had got stuck in mine workings on High Hartsop Dodd (also known as Little Dodd). Joe Weir is holding the dog, on his right is Dulcie Wear and to his left is Eddie Poole's father Johnnie. Behind them are Billy Wilkinson and Anthony Barker.
